Lwaliwa Scores On Vipers Return

Defender Halid Lwaliwa scored the only goal on his return to help Vipers overcome Onduparaka FC at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

Lwaliwa headed home from Bright Anukani’s freekick at the stroke of halftime.

It was Lwaliwa’s first game of the season having missed the opening games following an injury he picked on National duty.

Its three wins from four games for Vipers who came into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw with Express.

The Venoms, who have a game in hand, move three points behind KCCA FC who were held 1-1 by Bright Stars at Kavumba.

Caesar Manzoki headed wide Paul Willa’s cross while Bobosi Byaruhanga had a long range effort over and also failed to connect on Anukani’s delivery.
