*UPDF 1-0 Express
*KCCA 2-1 Gaddafi
*Tooro United 1-0 Mbarara City

Defending Champions Express succumbed to yet another defeat leaving them winless in the opening two league games.

It was a painful loss for the Red Eagles who conceded a goal against a team that already had a man sent off at Bombo.

Striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe was shown a straight red card in the 28th minute when he kicked Goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa with an open boot in the first half that ended goalless.

Then Veteran midfielder Musa Mudde scored the all important goal for the Army side.

The visitors, playing without suspended head coach Wasswa Bbosa, huffed and puffed but they could not find an equaliser.

The defeat leaves Express goalless and winless in the league after two matches having lost to Arua Hill in the opener.

Goalkeeper Brian Bwete who was named the Pilsner Man of the Match made a couple of saves to help UPDF move to four points having drawn with Onduparaka in Arua.

Thanks to their numerical advantage, Express were more dominant of the two sides and could have been awarded a penalty when Martin Kizza looked to have been kicked by goalkeeper Bwete after a low pass from Captain Denis Ssekitoleko but referee waved play on.

The shot stopper later made an excellent finger-tip save to deny Kizza header off Charles Musiige corner and the Custodian also kept out two efforts from George Ssenkaaba before denying substitute Raymond Walugembe.

For the Army side, they had their face share of chances; Ibrahim Wammanah shot straight to the goalkeeper, Ahimbisibwe skewed Bernard Muwanga freekick while Kigozi Ambrose had his long range strike was deflected by his teammate and captain Isa Mubiru.

Kigozi later limped off and replaced by Mugisha Rogers.

Mudde saw his freekick easily collected by Mutakubwa before converting from the spot after a Nicholas Kasozi hand ball in the box.

UPDF moves to second in the standing with 4 points while Express are 15th without a single point.
