East Coast Boxing Club’s Joshua Tukamuhebwa dropped Kenneth Mutebi to reach the semifinals of the ongoing National team Boxing Trials on Thursday at Lugogo.
Tukamuhebwa, after a shaky start that saw him being chased out of the centre, connected on a vicious right hand which caused Mutebi to crash to the canvas.
The Lubya Boxing Club fighter lost complete control of his body because of a hit just below the head in the light welterweight category encounter.
The fight lasted just a minute of the first round, and after receiving medical attention, Mutebi slightly regained his conscious before he was taken off wobbling.
Tukamuhebwa who was part of the National team that featured at the 2019 All Africa Games in Morocco has all eyes on the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
