Gaddafi FC Weighing Up Options After Steven Bogere Deal Fall Through

Newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Gaddafi FC are back to the drawing board in search for a new coach before the start of the new season.

The club had reached an agreement with Steven Bogere but reports later claimed that the two parties failed to be on the same page due to a number of issues.

Abbey Kikomeko has been approached on a number of issues but the tactician has chosen to remain at Busoga United.

Fresh reports reaching The-SportsNation desk have it that Ibrahim Kirya is leading the race to take over the club in their debut season in top flight.

Kirya, an assistant coach at SC Villa, helped Wakiso Giants to earn league peomotion and has had stints with URA FC and Mbarara City FC as well.

Hassan Zungu is the acting coach but will be demoted to assistant once the head coach is acquired in the near future.

Zungu was in charge as Gaddafi beat Proline FC in Big League playoffs final to earn promotion to UPL.
