Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC has confirmed the capture of former Vipers SC goalkeeper Derrick Ochan on a three year employment contract.
The custodian joins the Kasasiro Boys from Police FC where he spent an entirety of last season, convincing in goal with incredible skills and goalkeeper instincts.
Ochan, who left the Venoms in 2020 following a four year stay with the club, has over the last three years or so established himself as one of the best players in your position across the league.
He is also a product of Fufa Juniors League where he so ably featured for the Kitende based side.
Ochan had this to say to the club media team following the completion of the move.
“I am very happy to join KCCA. This is one of the biggest clubs in the region and playing for a club like this is special.” He told KCCA FC media.
“My focus now is to try and quickly focus and compete with my colleagues. The competition here is so evident and one has got to work hard to earn their place in the team.” He added.
Ochan becomes the nineth signing of the season joining Mato Rogers, Brian Kayanja, Brian Majwega, Goefrey Wasswa, Emmanuel Wasswa, Yasser Mugerwa, Usama Arafat and Innocent Wafula.
The Lugogo side had earlier confirmed the departure of goalkeeper Hassan Matovu who has since joined Bright Stars FC.
They have also released Ivan Kalanzi, Filbert Obenchan and Keziron Kizito following the expiry of their respective contracts while Steven Serwadda crossed to New York Red Bulls in the Major League Soccer.
