Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Micho Sredejovich has released five players ahead of the World Cup Qualifiers.
The five released players include injured Simba SC midfielder Taddeo Lwanga who missed the team’s 2-1 loss to Ethiopia in a friendly match at Bahir Dar Stadium.
Express Winger Martin Kizza, URA FC midfielder Shafik Kuchi Kagimu, Pyramids winger Abdu Lumala and new SC Villa defender Kenneth Ssemakula will be returning home.
This has created more space for the addition of three more foreign-based players – Isaac Muleme (Viktoria Zizkov, Czech Republic), Mustapha Kizza (CF Montreal, Canada), and Derrick Nsibambi (Smouha, Egypt).
The Cranes contingent has arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport from Addis Ababa aboard Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 308.
