Uganda Premier League side URA FC have officially unveiled former Wakiso Giants forward Viane Ssekajugo on a three-year employment contract.
As earlier reported by this website, Ssekajugo had agreed personal terms with the Tax Collectors, but was only waiting for official unveiling.
He joins as a free agent following the expiry of his employment contract at Uganda Premier League side Wakiso Giants.
Prior to his move, the forward is said to have had talks with the Purple Sharks who also double as his former bosses.
All arrangements however agonizingly fell apart between the two parties with allegations that the forward demanded a little bit too much to renew his contract.
Viane, who scored 13 goals last season in the UPL will prove to be a big boost as he adds more striking options to the Tax Collectors who are gearing up for the new season along with continental football.
Ssekajugo has also previously featured for Masaka Local Council and Onduparaka FC in West Nile prior to his move to Wakiso Giants and therefore comes with loads of experience to this young URA squad.
He becomes the seventh official signing for URA in the ongoing transfer window joining a long list of new entrants like: Derrick Ndahiro, Baligeya Simon, Andrew Okiring Isiagi, Living Kabon, Said Kyeyune and James Alitho whose unveiling only came yesterday.
Ssekajugo will also be reuniting with his former coach at Onduparaka Simeon Masaba, who is currently the interim head Coach with the Tax Collectors.
URA who finished second in the league the previous season will represent the country in the CAF confederation Cup next season.
This journey commences with a preliminary round fixture against Ethiopian Coffee that will be played over two legs before facing Al-Merrikh Omdurman in the event that they progress at the expense of the Ethiopian side.
