Upon his unveiling, the joy-to-watch forward expressed his delight at joining one of the biggest clubs in the country.

Mawa, who has recently featured for KCCA FC Junior team comes with a brief history in terms of his industry while playing the game.

He was the top scorer with six goals at the recently concluded CECAFA U17 Championship that was held in Rwanda in December last year.

It’s these superb performances with the Cubs that established him as a key member to the group and thus guided them to the AFCON U17 Championship that were slated to happen in Morocco only to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

He becomes the fifth official signing for the Joggos joining other new entrants like defender Kenneth Ssemakula, Isma Mugulusi, Ali Bayo and Gift Fred.

Reports have further linked another Masaza Cup product Charles Bbaale to have completed his move to the club but only official unveiling pending.

As the club heads to the rebuilding process come next season, Mawa’s addition will be a big boost to a side that is filled with young blood.
