Federation of Uganda Football Association, FUFA, has postponed Uganda Cup until further notice.
The tournament, at the semifinal stage, was set to return on August 19-30.
Express are scheduled to face BUL while Vipers will play Police.
However, Vipers and Express have more than three players at the National team that is preparing for the World Cup Qualifiers.
The news will be music to ears for Vipers SC who challenged the scheduled dates earlier.
Then, Vipers said that it was on a short notice to set up a competitive side given that some of their players do not even live in the country.
Earlier, the federation granted URA FC the right to represent the country in the CAF Confederations Cup, a privilege that comes with winning the Uganda Cup.
Last season, the cup competition was declared null and void due to the outbreak of the deadly pandemic of Covid19 early last year.
This season, the competition was kicked off at the round of 32 with only Uganda Premier League and FUFA Big League clubs.
