UPL Transfers: UPDF Set To Confirm Three New Signings

Uganda Premier League side UPDF is set to announce the signing of Busoga United forward Kimbowa Sharif, former Onduparaka players Oscar Agaba and Wasswa Shaban.

Oscar Agaba and Waswa Shaban will join the army side as free agents following their unprecedented release from West Nile giants Onduparaka FC.

Kimbowa Shariff on the other hand is said to have already set base at the army side and was seen scoring a goal for the Bombo side during their one all draw friendly against Gaddafi FC on Monday 9th August 2021 at FUFA Technical Stadium Njeru.

Waswa Shaban, a central defender by trade will have an instrumental role to play for the army side in the forthcoming season while Oscar Agaba’s creativity will be a serious requirement for the team.

Brian Senyondo has since consolidated power at UPDF FC following his sack by Mbarara City the previous season. He succeeds Kefa Kisala who did considerably well in the job.

To ensure success in his new role, the U17 National Team head coach will require the goals of Kimbowa. The goals will be paramount to the club’s season in the topflight league.

UPDF have already lost striker Brian Kayanja to KCCA, Robert Eseru is Arua Hill bound while defender Vuni Bright Joseph future at the club is unclear after Arua Hill tabled a three years contract for the Youngster.
