Tanzania giants Young Africans ( Yanga SC) have completed the signing of Ugandan player Khalid Aucho on a two-year deal.
Unlike the stated duration of the contract, the financial details inserted in the deal remain far-fetched.
The Cranes midfielder landed in Dar-es-salaam on Monday morning flanked by his agent Geoffrey Kayemba Solo to finalize the signing of binding papers.
He has been a free agent since expiration of his contract with Egyptian side Misr El Makkasa and has not been short of suitors.
Tanzanian heavyweights Simba SC were reportedly a head of the queue to lure Aucho but sources say their offer was not seductive.
It left the door ajar for the player’s admirers and Cross town rivals Yang Africans have stolen the match on Simba.
He returns to East African Football having featured for Ugandan side Simba FC ( now UPDF FC), as well as Kenyan sides Tusker FC and Gor Mahia.
With his Cranes future locked between a rock and hard place following his suspension from National Team earlier this year, the return of Micho as Cranes Coach gives hope to the player to amend broken bridges with national team selectors.
Aucho was one of Micho’s trusted starlwarts before the Serb left Uganda in 2017.
Aucho has previously played for Simba in Uganda, Red Star Belgrade, OFK Beograd and Churchhill Brothers of India among others.
