Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho has jetted in Tanzania to finalise a deal to join giants Yanga Africans Sports Club.
The Ugandan burly midfielder, a free agent following expiration of his contract with Egyptian Side Misr El Makkasa, is expected to sign a two-year contract with a whopping $50,000 in sign-on fees.
Aucho has been heavily linked to another Tanzanian side Simba FC and reports were rife that the midfield enforcer was on cusp of joining the side.
However, in surprise turn of events Aucho seems likely headed to Simba’s cross city rivals.
Why proposed move to Simba fell through is for any one to guess but Yanga are believed to have tabled a more juicy offer.
The move will mark Aucho’s return to East African Football having featured for Kenyan sides Tusker FC and Gor Mahia.
