The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has revealed dates for the start of next season’s competitions including the Uganda Premier League.
The 2021/22 UPL season will kickoff on October 15, 2021 while the league fixtures are set to be issued out by the UPL Secretariat on September 13th 2021.
The road map which commenced on 1st July with the opening of player registration by the federation and opening of the off-season transfer window, also saw the release of club licensing regulations and Action plan on the 3rd of August 2021.
This will be followed with the mandatory expression of interest to take part in the forthcoming 2021/2022 season by the Uganda Priemer League teams by the 6th of August.
The 13th of August will launch an initiation of the club licensing systems orientation workshop for the newly promoted teams before the FUFA Big League Playoffs get to take centre stage from the 15th to the 17th of August.
The 20th of August will be the deadline for submissions by the various clubs about their intent to take part of the league season before the Inspection and verification of clubs gets to commence on the 3rd of September 2021.
Communication of the licensing decisions by the committe will follow on the 10th before the release of fixture drafts scheduled for the 13th of September 2021.
The pre-season tournament best known to be the Pilsner Super 8 will take centre stage from the 15th to the 30th of September whose aftermath will see a communication of the Appeals body final decisions about the cases presented to them.
Final fixtures will be released on the 20th of September and that will be left will be the start of the 2021/22 season which is scheduled for the 15th of October 2021.
