The National Handball League is set to throw off in September according to Uganda Handball Federation General Secretary Carl Augustine Mugalu.
Mugalu stated that they have written to clubs both men and women to take part in this year’s league.
“We have written to clubs requesting them to register for the upcoming league which is due in September”, He stated.
“The dates and the Venues will all be determined by the teams that register by the 20th August”
The General Secretary also confirms that they are expecting over 15 teams in the league.
“We expect to have all the 15 teams we have written to take part in the League in both men and women category”.
“UPDF Handball Club, Prison Handball Club, Police Handball Club, Ndejje University, Makerere University, Nkumba University, Kawanda S. S., Kyambogo University, Evergreen Handball Club, Nkajja Handball Club, Kyengeza Handball Club, Mukono Lions, Victoria University, Kampala Handball Team, Nansana Handball Club”.
Prisons Spears Handball Club are the defending Champions in the Men’s Category while Nkumba Tornadoes Ladies Club won the women’s league.
UPDF Handball Club are the most successful team in the Handball National League.
