SC Villa is reportedly steadfast to keep faith in coach Edward Kaziba with the club wrapping up plans to tie down the coach with a new deal.
Kaziba, who took charge of the Jogoos hot seat in 2019, has endured a stop-start spell at Villa Park, and his future has been shrouded with uncertainty since running down his contract at the end of June.
He guided the club to a respectable third place finish in his maiden season while the Jogoos finished a disappointing tenth last season.
This mixed bag of results has provoked mixed reactions from the SC Villa faithful.
A section of officials and aurdent fans have been clamouring for a new coach in the dugout for the coming season. They reckon that if the club is to make marked improvements, a tried and tested face should replace Kaziba.
But major decision makers at the club haven’t bought into the forestated school of thought, and are believed to be sticking with the current Coach.
They say that if Kaziba is trusted and given the required full backing, he has the ability to raise the club from it’s slumber.
They add that the club has stayed afloat while operating on a shoe-string budget and all praises have been levelled towards Kaziba’s savviness.
However, changes may take course in Kaziba’s backroom staff with assistants Nestrooy Kizito and Ibrahim Kirya expected to leave the club.
Goalkeeping coach Mubarak Kiberu is also a favorite to try his talents away from SC Villa.
The club is expected to prise Vipers SC assistant coach Frank Mugerwa to act second fiddle to gaffer Kaziba.

The Record League holders are sweating plasma with a player exodus hitting the club like tsunami of sorts.
A host of players have deserted Villa Park while incomings are hard to come by.
Left back Derrick Ndahiro, skipper Asuman Alishe, Faizal Muwawu, Fahad Badiro, Geoffrey Wasswa and midfider Emmanuel Wasswa have all left the club.
It’s only 2020 Masaza Cup winning revelation Charles Bbaale who has been officially signed by the club.
