Express FC have confirmed the acquisition of goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa.
Mutakubwa joins Express FC on free transfer after ending his spell at relegated Kyetume FC.
He has penned a two-year deal with the Red Eagles, Express FC has revealed.
He joins as a direct replacement for Mathias Muwanga and will be the club’s first choice goalkeeper ahead of Denis Otim and Chrispus Kusiima.
Mutakubwa reunites with Wasswa Bbosa having worked with the coach at Tooro United FC.
“This is a great step towards achieving my goals as a footballer,” Mutakubwa is quoted by Express FC website.
“Express is a right place to be because of the championship mentality here, I know what is expected and I will do my best to perform at the highest level.”
“I want to thank Head coach Wasswa Bbosa for having the trust in me.”

The goalkeeper was recently linked to Vipers and KCCA FC but has become the first signing for the Red Eagles in the current transfer window.
Mutakubwa is one of the best goalkeepers in Uganda Premier League, but saw his respect deteriorate after betting and match fixing rumours in recent times.
He is a vital addition for the Uganda Premier League champions who are preparing for CECAFA Kagame Cup and CAF Champions League.
