Uganda Netball Federation Moves to a New Home


Uganda Netball Federation president Sarah Babirye Kityo is determined to change things at the Netball body despite early days in her tenure.

The new Executive moved to their new refubrished offices at Aga Khan Building, Old Kampala shifting from National Council of Sports at Lugogo.

While opening the offices on Tuesday, State Minister for Sports, Hon. Hamson Denis Obua also launched the 2021-2025 Strategic plan that highlights the ten point programme promised while in the UNF campaigns.

These include governance, Finance and Marketing, Branding, Administration, Competition and National teams.

“Sarah is my friend, we have been together in Parliament and I know her potential, so I congratulate you,” Hon. Obua said.

“Always consult from different people especially those with experience, As a ministry of Education and Sports we shall extend the support need to develope more the game of netball in the country.”

Many celebrated Sports loves including Dr Lawrence Mulindwa (Director of St Mary’s Kitende and president Vipers SC), Justus Mugisha (FUFA first vice president and president Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Association -FEASSA), Eng. Emmanuel Ben Misagga (President, Nyamityobora Football Club), Madam Maggie Kigozi, Benah Muwanga (former National team coach), Rebecca Kavulu, (Former President UNF) and other dignitaries all graced the function.
