KCCA FC have confirmed the departure of left back Moses Kalanzi after a season spell at the club, to say the least.
The left back joined the Lugogo based side in September last year and the 13-time league champions have said that he has run down his contract at the end of the just concluded 2020/21 season.
It was an awful stint for Kalanzi who featured in just one league game against BUL FC in the league.
He was later substituted off in the 35th minute for Juma Balinya, in a game they lost 2-1 at Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe.
Kalanzi joined KCCA FC after ending his time in Denmark where he played for Jammerbugt, Aalborg and Hjorring.
He was brought in as the club sought for a direct replacement for Mustafa Kizza who joined MLS side Montreal Impact.
Kalanzi, before going overseas, started at local academies in the country – Bulenga Academy, Young Eagles Academy, Express Wembley, Super Cubs, Kampala Kids League and Uganda Youth Soccer Academy.
He is the first player to officially leave KCCA FC before the start of the 2021/22 season.
Last season, KCCA FC who replaced Mike Mutebi with Morley Byekwaso, finished a lowly fourth with 48 points in a season that was ended by covid19.
