South Sudan Football Association has named their provisional squad for the forthcoming CECAFA U23 tournament to be held in Ethiopia this month.
The summoned squad consists of 31 players, among which, five of the players play in the Star Times Uganda Premier League.
The said players include Kyetume’s Ezra Bida, Vipers SC right back Joseph Dhata, Bright forward Emmanuel Loki, Makueth Wol from Mbarara City and Ivan Wani from Busoga United.
The team will be under the stewardship of Simon James Yor, who was named as the new U-23 coach on Wednesday.
Loki, Makeuth and Dhata have been part of the senior team that has been participating in the Arab cup.
The CECAFA U23 tournament is slated to kick off on 17th July in Ethiopia.
Apart from South Sudan and Uganda, other countries that will be playing in the competition are Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Rwanda, Burundi, and Zanzibar.
