Kickoff For Kampala Regional League Rescheduled

The Kampala Regional League has been postponed less than 24 hours to kickoff, its official.

Kampala Regional Football Association General Secretary Isaac Sengendo says that the decision has been arrived at due to challenges with Covid19 challenges.

Regional League is the third tier of Uganda Football League system below Uganda Premier League (1st division) and Big League (2nd division).

All participating clubs were required to Vaccinate before kickoff on Monday as the organisers targeted to follow Covid19 SOPs.

“Reason we have realised that COVID Vaccination has been a challenge to most clubs, Kampala Region Competitions Committee
fixtures, ALL the necessary requirements please submit them in tomorrow Tue 01/06/2021 Region Office 11am,” reads a letter to Kampala Regional League clubs.

The league’s Competition committee has decided to kickoff with the supposed Match day 2 fixtures on Friday June 4th.

The earlier Match day 1 games have been postponed and a new date will be communicated.

Ssengendo has urged all the clubs to visit the KRFA offices on Tuesday to confirm the number of licenses they have been given.
