Junior League, Odilo Cancelled – FUFA

The 2020/21 FUFA Junior League season and Odilo (FUFA primary schools football competitions) will not take place this season..

The development was confirmed during the FUFA Excom meeting that was chaired by FUFA president Moses Magogo on Friday last week.

The Junior League is played by players below the age18.

In the 2015/2016 season it was won by Vipers Junior Team while the 2016/2017 season teams were pooled into two groups that is treble and hat-trick with Tooro United crowned champions.

Vipers Junior Team won it again in 2018. BUL FC Junior Team are the defending Champions after the league was cancelled last year due to Covid-19.

On the other hand, The Odilo primary school Championship was code named “Odilo” meaning a ball in the Luo community.

It was launched in May last year with Rays of Grace winning the inaugural tournament after edging Oasis Annex primary school 1-0 at FUFA Technical Centre Njeru.

The tournament was supposed to return last year with the girl’s competition included but it has now been cancelled due to health concerns about the COVID 19 pandemic.
