Uganda’s representatives at the on-going Men’s Africa Club Volleyball Championships, Nemostars, produced a thrilling performance as they beat Ethiopian side Wolaita in straight sets to progress to the quarter finals.
The Ugandan Champions won 3-0 with sets 15-25,20-25, 22-24 to finish runners-up in Group C.
The four team group was topped by heavy weights Kelibia from Tunisia.
Coach- player George Aporu, Savior Atama and setter Smith Okumu were in fluid form and this meant their Ethiopian opponents couldn’t match their class literally.
The feat means that Nemostars have attained quarter finals ranks for the second successive time having reached the same stage in the 2019 edition in Cairo.
