Uganda Cup: FUFA Confirms Date For Kitara Vs Kigezi Rescheduled Fixture

The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has on Wednesday 14th April announced the date for the postponed Uganda Cup first leg between Kitara FC and Kigezi Homeboyz.

The game was initially scheduled on Tuesday 6th April 2021 but was called off following a miscommunication in the match venue.

Initially Kitara was hosting it’s home games at Kavumba Recreation Ground before receiving the go-ahead to use Masindi Municipal Stadium as their home ground after it received approval.

The hosts Kitara FC and the match officials were at Masindi Municipal Stadium while Kigezi Homeboyz went to Kavumba Recreation Ground, the initial announced venue.

In a letter written to both Club’s Chief Executive Officers, by the Competitions Director Aisha Nalule, FUFA have ruled that the match will now take place on 29th April 2021 at Kavumba Recreation Ground at 4pm.

FUFA promised to facilitate the away team with transportation to play the fixture.

The winner in this tie will join BUL FC, Vipers, KCCA, URA, SC Villa, Express, Onduparaka, Wakiso Giants, Police FC, UPDF, Soltillo Bright Stars Maroons, Proline, Tooro United and Kataka FC in the the Round of 16.
