Uganda Cup: FUFA Decides On Dishonored Kitara Vs Kigezi Game

The Federation of Uganda football Association (FUFA) through its Competitions Disciplinary Panel has ruled that the Uganda Cup round of 32 fixture between Kitara FC and Kigezi Home Boys is to be replayed.

Kitara was slated to host Kigezi Home Boyz on Wednesday but due to a mix-up in the venue of the game, the match could not go ahead.

The hosts who had received the go ahead to use Masindi Municipal Stadium as their home venue travelled to Masindi while Kigezi went to Kavumba Recreation Grounds, the initial announced venue for the game.

Kigezi then filed a complaint to FUFA, claiming that the home team and match officials failed to show up at the slated stadium for the said fixture.

According to Disciplinary panel decisions, a replay of the same fixture has to be organised at the Kavumba, on the date which will be communicate by Competition Department.

In another decision, FUFA will take on the responsibility to facilitate the transportation of the visiting team, Kigezi Homeboyz.

However, Kitara FC who were expecting to have the first leg in Masindi have matched out unpunished as per the decision.

The second leg is set for Saturday, April 10, at Kabale Municipal Stadium.
