Warriors Big man Amisi ‘Carmelo’ Saidi has joined Betway Power, The-SportsNation sources have established.
The Congolese has been training with the Betway sponsored club at YMCA and it is said that a deal has been finalised.
Saidi is the latest player to leave Warriors, a club that will miss this season’s National Basketball League.
Stanley Mugerwa joined KIU Titans and a couple more have reportedly looked for greener pastures.
Carmelo, as commonly known in Basketball circles, is expected to boost Betway Power’s front court alongside Isaac Afridra, Brian Sivachi and Salim Kisily among others.
He plays with vigour and is an animal inside the paint.
Power have won five league titles but have not added to their tally since 2011. They have been beaten finalists in 2016 and 2018, and were stopped at semis by UCU Canons in the 2019 season.
