Big League: Arua Hill Eases Past Kataka To Maintain Perfect Start

Arua Hill SC earned a deserved victory as they beat Kataka FC 3-0 at Barifa Stadium in Arua to maintain their perfect start in the 2020/21 FUFA Big league season.

Captain Ceaser Okhuti, Allan Mugalu and Alfred Leku were all on the score sheet for the Kongolo Boys as they registered their second victory in as many games.

They had earlier in the week taken care of Black Power by the same score line.

In the early minutes of the game, coach Hussein Mbalangu was forced to make a substitution after Oscar Agaba got injured with Rajab Kakooza coming on.

At the stroke of half time, Okhuti headed home a well crafted corner from Rashid Agau to give the Kongolo boys the lead.

In the second half, Mugalu doubled the lead on the 65th minute heading in again from a corner, this time fromDan Birikwalira.

With five minutes left on the clock, substitute Leku put the game beyond the visitors’ reach netting in the third for the home side.

The Hussein Mbalangu coached side now go on top of the Elgon group with six points from the two games played, scoring six and conceded only one goal.

For Karaka FC, it is their second loss in the season having lost to Calvary FC 1-0 in the opening game.

What next for both teams

Arua Hill will take a long trip to play Maroons FC on 1st April at the Luzira Prisons grounds while Kataka host Gaddafi FC at the Mbale Municipal Stadium.
