This is the third away loss for KCCA this season, with the other coming at SC Villa and BUL FC earlier in the season. Add URA’s victory at Lugogo, Mutebi’s side has lost four games in total all campaign leaving them nine points off the pace.
Speaking to the Press after the game, Mutebi was quick to say that Vipers were a better side before adding that his boys slept in the game.
“Vipers were more determined than us. Our boys slept a bit in the game. Mutebi narrated.
“I think Vipers played well and they deserved to win the game.”
“As I told you, we are very much still in the race.
“We are going to rectify out mistakes and try to compete with the rest at the top.
As he always insists on playing their way, it was the case when they played against Vipers at Kitende throughout the whole game.
As they gear up for the second round, the Gaffer says they need to step up and play better football since they aren’t in a better position.
“We need to play more of good football since we are not in a better position.”
