Busoga United midfielder Isma Mugulusi says Wakiso Giants undermined them and he believes it was their turning point in the game.
Forward Sharif Kimbowa’s second half strike gave Busoga United their second season win as they overcame Wakiso Giants in a 0-1 result on Saturday.
Speaking after the game, Mugulusi also noted that the contest was not an easy one.
“It wasn’t an easy win. Mugulusi spoke to this website
“The game wasn’t easy as they (Wakiso) expected but our performance wasn’t that good either.
“They undermined us but they were surprised when we showed impact and I’m glad for the win.”
The win was Busoga’s second on the trot having overcame MYDA by a similar score line earlier in the week.
Mugulusi says that they now target a win next week to ensure they climb out of the relegation zone after the first round.
“After our second successive win, our target now is to win more games and finish the first round above the relegation zone so we can come back in the second (round) with a performance that will keep us up on the log as we did it last season .
“In the coming fixtures I wanted to be valued as one of the best creative midfielder and help the team win as many games as possible.”
Busoga currently sits 14th on the log with 14 points from as many games and host Kitara in their last first-round fixture.
