KIU Titans and coach Brian Wathum have parted ways by mutual consent.
The National Basketball League side has embarked on a search for a new coach before league start on April 2, 2021.
A close source has disclosed that coach Wathum has got a ‘juicy deal’ in Mbarara, but this website could not confirm the developments.

Wathum has told The-SportsNation that “I am not liberty to talk about the details at the moment, but I just want to concentrate on my family now.”
Efforts to reach KIU have been fruitless.
Wathum joined KIU Titans in March 2017 when he replaced Chris Kyebambe.
His best achievement at KIU is a runners up medal when they lost to City Oilers in the best of seven final series in 2017.

Wathum has previously coached Power, Knight Riders and JKL Dolphins.
The Titans, formed in 2002, have already re-signed forward Denis Balungu as they look to strengthen their squad.
