Atulinda, an household name at the Kasanga based side returns from JKL Lady Dolphins were she played the last two seasons.
She managed to win two women’s NBL titles with the Lady Dolphins.
Having played for KIU Rangers for a period spanning five years initially, Momo, as she is fondly called by his peers, is full of joy upon his return “home”.
“I am happy to be back at a place I call home. My basketball career started here after high school and it has to end here. I am back to enjoy the game. I am back home and it feels good,” Atulinda said.
KIU Rangers Head coach Roger Sserunyigo was also effusive about Atulinda’s qualities.
The gaffer revealed that the player was the missing piece in the front court.
“Moureen is a missing piece filled in the area of the front court. There is a lot of potential from her to exploit as she has a good mid-range shot, excellent at rebounding and communicates efficiently”, Sserunyigo noted.
Atulinda started playing Basketball at Buddo SS before continuing with the sport at Mbarara University of Science and Technology.
