KCCA FC took care of business as they thumped Kitara FC 4-0 at the MTN Omondi Stadium on Saturday.

Defender Peter Magambo scored twice while Bright Anukani and Samson Kigozi netted the other goals for Mike Mutebi’s side.

As early as the 11th minute, KCCA took the lead through Magambo who headed in from close range after Kitara goal keeper Ivan Akere failed to gather Filbert Obenchan’s long-throw in.

KCCA failed to add onto their advantage in the first half as they kept on missing chances.

Sadat Anaku forced Akere into a low save, Anukani saw an effort tipped over while Aheebwa headed weakly at the keeper before Moses Aliro blazed over the rebound.

The second goal came eight minutes after the restart with Akere fumbling Hassan Musana’s routine free kick to enable Anukani side-foot into an empty goal.

Moments later, Magambo bundled in from close range after Akere failed to collect Musana’s corner.

With Kitara on the ropes, Kigozi who had replaced Kezironi Kizito at the start of the second half, collected from Anukani before firing in the fourth on 63 minutes.

It was always going to be difficult for Kitara to take anything away from Lugogo and from the onset, they never really bothered the hosts.

They had two good chances to score but Monday Denis shot straight at Charles Lukwago while Vicent Kasoki fired over from close range.

This was KCCA’s second successive victory at home after they had also taken care of MYDA 5-0 seven days ago. Victory sees them climb into 6th with 17 points from 10 games.

For Kitara, the loss sinks them bottom of the pile, level on points with MYDA FC (one) but having scored fewer goals.

In their next fixtures, KCCA are away to Wakiso Giants FC on Tuesday while Kitara hosts Express on the same day.
