UPL: Express Put Four Past BUL

Express have registered their biggest win of the ongoing campaign thanks to a 4-0 rout against BUL FC in a league game played on Saturday at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.

Murushid Juuko opened his goal account, Isma Mugulusi deflected into his own net and George Senkaaba added the other as Express took a 3-0 comfortable lead at the break.

Substitute Ibrahim Kayiwa sealed the victory in the second half with a header.

BUL FC started the better side and dominated in terms of possession as the visitors sat at the back.

In the 10th minute, Juuko headed in after goal keeper Abdul kimera failed to clear a Lwesibawa corner kick to give express the lead.

In the 19th minute, Bul fc could have levelled matters but Walter Ochora missed a seater with his effort going just off the post.

Robert mukongotya was a threat to the Red Eagles on the right side with some countless runs.

At the half-hour mark, BUL goalkeeper Kimera was lucky not to be sent off after he handed the ball just outside his own area, receiving just a yellow card from referee William Oloya.

From the resultant freekick, Mugulusi connected into his own net from Authur Kiggundu’s effort to double the advantage.

A few minutes later, Musa Esenu could have pulled one back for the home side but his shot went straight in the arms of Mathius Muwanga.

In the 41st minute, George Senkaaba nodded in a free header, after a well crafted cross from dangerman Lwesibawa.

BUL FC Mukongotya had a powerful shot from a freekick denied by Muwanga for a corner.

Abdul Kimera who had a poor day in office once again costed his side again, in the 74th minute, Eric Kambale left him on the ground before setting up substitute Kayiwa to head in the fourth.

Express later enjoyed more of the ball with substitutes Kayiwa and Frank Kalanda linking up well with Kambale on the left side.

Express now move to the third place with 16 points as BUL remain in 12th position with 7 points, pending results from other games on the day.

What next for both teams – BUL FC will face Vipers at St Mary’s stadium in Kitende while Express will take a trip to face MYDA FC at the king George IV memorial stadium.
