UPDF FC Suffers Third Successive Loss As Rampant Bright Stars Shine

Bright Stars beat UPDF 3-0 in the Uganda Premier League game played at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Friday.

Forward Samuel Ssekamate handed the hosts the lead inside the opening four minutes of the contest.

Suleiman Ssebunza doubled Bright Stars lead in the 62nd minute from a penalty kick.

On-form Nvule Jamie sealed the points for the hosts as he netted a third with 17 minutes to play.

UPDF are now winless in there last three games after losing just once in the opening five games of the campaign.

After 8 games Bright Stars are sixth on the Uganda Premier League table with 12 points

UPDF dropped to seventh with 12 points after 8 league games.

Bright Stars play away to Kyetume on match day 9 while the Army side hosts Mbarara City FC.
