Midfielder Kyeyune, Golfer Nsubuga Win ForteBet Real Stars Awards

Uganda Cranes midfielder Saidi Kyeyune and Golfer Godfrey Nsubuga were crowned the ForteBet Real Stars Sports Awards for the month of January.

The awarding ceremony was held on Tuesday at Route256 restaurant and bar in Lugogo.

Kyeyune who scored two goals, including a beauty against Togo, at CHAN 2020 beat Charles Bbale and Farouk Yawe Ssebanja who featured in Masaza Cup.

He was represented by URA FC CEO Henry Mayeku who commended the midfielder’s commitment, hard work and dedication on and off the pitch.

Kyeyune has since sealed a lucrative deal to Sudanese Giants El Merreikh courtesy of his CHAN display with the Uganda Cranes.

Nsubuga on the other hand, edged his compatriot Rogers Eyoyo and Entebbe Golf Club’s Elton Thembo thanks to his victory at the 2021 Entebbe Juniors Golf Open.

The Awards, started on September 28 2021, were put in place to motivate, nurture and develop athletes.
