A well has been constructed in Mayirye Village in Mityana district to celebrate lives of fallen Basketball legend Kobe and daughter Gianna Bryant.
The initiative has been spearhead by Wells Of Life, a Christian nonprofit water development organization.
Bryant, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others, died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California in January last year.
He is regarded as one of the best Basketball players the world has ever seen and inspired the generation through Sports.
This is one of the latest projects from Wells of Life whose mission is to provide safe and clean water to the rurals.
A recent study suggests that over eight million Ugandans lack access to safe water.
Its from that background that Wells of Life has vowed to provide Safe Water to all parts of Uganda so that rurals don’t have to walk long distances or suffer related diseases.

Wells of Life – Is a Christian non-profit organization whose goal is to provide rural Ugandans access to safe, clean water through the installation of sustainable borehole water wells and teaching the local community about sustainable hygiene and water supply. It was founded in 2008 and has funded over 500 wells primarily in the Mityana and Mubende regions of Uganda, all of which collectively serve more than 630,000 people.
