Gomba beat Busiro in penalty shootouts to reach the final of the Masaza Cup at FUFA Technical centre in Njeru.
The 90 minutes ended goalless to necessitate penalties where Gomba’s substitute goalkeeper Peter Katongole proved to be the day’s hero.
Katongole replaced Francis Anguzu before the decisive shootouts to keep out Malida Kuteesa’s penalty.
Abdallah Ssentongo, Derrick Mbowa, George Kiryowa and Charles Bbale all scored their penalties to send Gomba through.
Busiro, who lost to Bulemeezi in 2019 final, will extend their wait for their first Masaza Cup title as Gomba intensify their search for a record extending fifth Cup.
Gomba will face winner between Buddu and holders Bulemeezi who face off in the other semi.
