Tonny Mawejje was left with a bitter taste after his Police side fell to UPDF at Bombo Barracks.
Ruben Paul Kabuye’s lonely strike in 50th minute was enough as Police FC suffered its first defeat of the season.
The victory, that sees UPDF FC bounce back from Kyetume loss, sends the Army side top of the log.
“Its not the result that we wanted and its not that our opponents played the best game but they got their results from the mercy of the assistant referee,” Mawejje who came on for Yusuf Ssozi stated.
“But anyway we have to pick ourselves up and see how we handle next games and see the way forward, that’s the mentality in the team now, we are done with this match and we are now focusing to the next games.”
The loss sees the Cops drop to third place with ten points from five games.
The league will resume in February next year and police will be hosting Kyetume on February 12 while UPDF will be visiting Vipers.
