Uganda Premier League side SC Villa are working against time to have fans ahead of KCCA FC visit on Tuesday at Bombo.
KCCA FC became the first Premier League club this campaign to officially have fans in attendance against Mbarara.
Sports resumption was given greenlight with conditions that it will be held behind closed doors, among other Covid19 restrictions.
UPL Clubs have been asked to seek consent from FUFA in line with fans return.
“With gratitude, we receive the letter from FUFA about the return of fans into football stadiums. On this note there we can confirm that very soon we will be able to welcome fans again at the Bombo Military Barracks Grounds once the prerequisites set by the FUFA are met,” read a statement from SC Villa on Monday.
“We will now work together with all the stakeholders to ensure that fans are safely guaranteed access to watch their team safely in the the Stadium.
Per FUFA rules, a maximum of 200 fans who are season ticket holders will be allowed to access games.
Villa says that they have over 200 registered season ticket holders but are working behind the clock to ensure that all registered members get a chance of watching the games.
The club has added: “SC Villa registered members will be required to confirm their attendance by sending an email to matchday@scvilla.co.ug or call the office on 0755 236 384 or 0393 236 384 to book a spot at the stadium before 5:00pm.”
The club has asked fans to adhere to SOPs including wearing of masks among guidelines.
The Jogoos, 16-time record league winners, have collected four points in the opening three games – They drew 2-2 with BUL on the opening day, beat Mbarara before a 2-1 loss to URA.
