KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi says that SC Villa be a big test for his club when the two sides meet on Tuesday in Bombo.
KCCA FC have enjoyed a flying start, having recorded three wins from as many games including a 8-0 win against Onduparaka FC.
“Villa have also picked points as well, its going to be a hard game especially that we are playing away from home,” Mutebi said on Monday.
Villa are the record 16 UPL titles, with KCCA second on 13, but the Jogoos have faltered to deceive since winning their last title in 2004.
Despite enjoying recent success against Villa, Mutebi says that the derby still holds water.
“The rivalry will still be there, these are the two most successful clubs in the country.”
Mutebi will heavily bank on his striking partnership of Brian Aheebwa and Sam Ssenyonjo who have scored five goals each.
“We are supposed to score more goals. Its part of our DNA and I am confident that we are going to score more. The boys are in right shape and we are ready for Villa,” he added.
Juma Balinya and Moses Aliro who were substituted for Hassan Musana and Stefano Loro Mazengo respectively, are ruled out.
Gift Ali, John Revita and Julius Poloto are still sidelined while Sadat Anaku is having a steady recovery but the game might have come a bit earlier for the younger striker.
Mutebi said that other team news will have to depend on Covid19 tests.
