Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC will allow limited number of fans into the MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo to watch their games.
The initiative starts this Friday when KCCA FC host Mbarara City FC on Match-day three at 4pm.
Sports resumption was given a greenlight on conditions that the games will be played behind closed doors among other Covid19 guidelines.
“We wrote to FUFA requesting, and authorisation was granted today,” KCCA FC CEO Anisha Muhoozi has told The-SportsNation.
“Only seasonal ticket holders will be allowed.”
About 200 KCCA fans will be allowed into Lugogo.
The club has put on sale 30 VIP and 170 ordinary season tickets on sale.
The fans attending are expected to follow Covid19 safety guidelines including temperature checks, sanitizing, masks, track and trace details, and social distancing inside the venue.
The rest of football games at the other venues will be played behind closed doors.
Only 20 journalists, at the consent of hosting clubs are allowed to cover the Uganda Premier League.
Other clubs like Express, Wakiso Giants and SC Vipers are expected to follow KCCA FC footsteps as the country prepares to have fans fully back into the stadiums.
