Aheebwa and Ssenyonjo Unstoppable

KCCA FC came into the game at the back of a 2-1 win over Bright Stars at Kavumba. The result was not convincing given the team’s second half poor show.

One of the positives from the game at Kavumba on Match-day one was Aheebwa scoring on his debut and his chemistry upfront with Ssenyonjo.

The two were at it again, and in destructive mode, on Tuesday to lift KCCA FC past the Caterpillars.

Aheebwa scored the first goal of the game after good coordination with Ssenyonjo in the 17th minute.

Achai doubled the advantage in the 22nd minute when he looped in a long ball to beat goalkeeper Austin Opoka.

Aheebwa almost made it three but his attempt hit the side net and he could later set up Ssenyonjo to score his first, and third of the game at the half-hour mark.

Once again, Aheebwa set up Ssenyonjo at the right flank to tap in the fourth before he scored the 5th at stroke of halftime from the spot after Andrew Kigozi was brought down in the box.

In the second half, Ssenyonjo collected from Kezironi Kizito to seal his hat-trick, as KCCA led 6-0.

Aheebwa got his as well, after a turn in the box to slide his shot far away from Opoka’s reach.

He later put an icing on the cake, with his fourth, and eighth for the hosts after a loose ball from Opoka.

KCCA FC could have scored more but returning Moses Aliro had his powerful strike denied by goalkeeper Opoka.

Onduparaka search for their first win at Lugogo continues having lost their fifth straight game at the stadium, including a 4-1 loss last season.

KCCA FC are now top of the table with six points from two games games with a difference of nine goals.
