Wakiso Giants Confirm Return of Duo

Wakiso Giants have confirmed the return of Viane Ssekajugo and Lawrence Bukenya to training as the side prepare for the 2020/21 season.

The pair got injured towards the end of last season as the Purple Sharks wobbled to 10th place when the league was prematurely ended due to Covid19 pandemic.

The return, is a big boost for Douglas Bamweyana who will be hoping to have the whole squad available when the season starts.

“Its good to have them back in time, for the new season preparations,” Bamweyana is briefly quoted by Wakiso Giants website.

Ssekajugo was injured by goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo, now at URA FC, at Wakissha in a 2-1 win over Maroons.

The striker had scored nine league goals for Wakiso, four behind UPL Top scorer Steven Mukwala.

The development leaves Tom Masiko, Hakim Ssenkumba, Ayub Kisaliita and goalkeeper George William Katende as the injured players at the club.

Wakiso Giants are expected to unveil former Police and Vipers midfielder Rahmat Ssenfuka.

They have signed Edward Satulo, Ibrahim Owen Kasule, Pius Kaggwa, Tom Masiko and Lawrence Bukenya, the later played for the club on loan from KCCA FC.
