On-form striker Michael Olunga headlines Kenya Harambee Stars squad for Comoros double-header next month.
Kenya will play host to Comoros at MISC Kasarani on November 11, 2020 under floodlights before the second leg on November 15, 2020 in 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification Group G.
New Harambee Stars coach Jacob “Ghost” Mulee, who recently reolaced Francis Kimanzi, has named the provisional squad today.
Olunga has been firing on all cylinders for Kashiwa Reysol in Japanese League where is he is the top-scorer. On Saturday, he scored his 23rd goal from as many league games this season in Kashiwa’s 2-1 loss to Gamba Osaka.
The Kenyans will be hoping that the forward can replicate his performance when they face Comoros.

Having made his National team debut in March 2015 against Seychelles, Olunga has been one of the main pillars for the Kenyan side that has blown hot and cold in recent memory.
In the ongoing 2021 AFCON campaign, he scored an equaliser as Kenya picked a hard fought draw against Borg El Arab Stadium, Alexandria last year.
Finnish-based goalkeeper Arnold Origi, Captain Victor Wanyama (Montreal Impact, Major League Soccer), Belgium based Johanna Omollo are some of the big names in the team.
Local-based players are expected to kick off non-residential training on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, FKF has said, with the team expected to be trimmed to the final 20.
