Lanky defender Farouk Katongole is on the verge of joining URA FC, a close source has told The-SportsNation.
The defender was relegated with Tooro United last season and has been a target for top clubs in the country including SC Villa and Vipers SC.
Katongole, a versatile player who has largely played as a centre back, will be a major addition for Sam Ssimbwa if the deal comes to pass.
The former player for Bright Stars and Entebbe Young will vie for a place in the heart of defence with Hudu Mulikyi, Paul Mbowa and Benjamin Nyakoojo.
Arafat Galiwango, Davis Ssali, Jackson Nunda and Hannington Ssebwalunyo are the new signings at URA FC.
After unveiling Henry Mayeku as the new CEO to replace Ivan Kakembo, URA recently added Simeon Masaba on the coaching department headed by Sam Ssimbwa.
The four-time league winners finished fifth with 40 points last season and will be hoping for an improved finish this season which is expected to kickoff next month.
