Uganda Cranes star Khalid Aucho has switched clubs in Egypt Premier League.
Aucho has moved from Misr El-Makkasa to sign for Ittihad of Alexandria, Kingfut has reported, but both clubs are yet to confirm the development.
The defensive midfielder leaves Makkasa after a year since he joined the side as a free agent following a stint with India’s Churchill Brothers in July 2019.
The defensive midfielder has been a mainstay at the club despite financial constraints that saw him go over six months without pay.
At Al-Ittihad, he joins Cranes compatriot Emmanuel Okwi.
Aucho has scored two goals from 19 league games for his side this season.
He has played for JMC Hippos, Simba, Tusker, Gor Mahia, Baroka, Red Star Belgrade, OFK Beograd, East Bengal and Churchill Brothers.
Makasa sits eighth on the log, two places and just a point above Ittihad with two games before the league climaxes.
Al-Ittihad were founded in 1914 in Alexandria and is the third most supported club in Egypt after Al Ahly and Zamalek. They have won the Egyptian cup six times.
