Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Masinde Onyango is set to leave the club he joined in 2011.
This, follows a resignation by Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane who has reportedly joined the Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
It is said that Pitso will lure about two or three Sundowns players to Al Ahly including the Uganda Cranes goalkeeper and Uruguayan Gaston Sirino.
However, the move to Al Ahly looks impossible after the Egyptian Football Association barred clubs from signing foreign goalkeepers.
Reports also suggest that Pitso has requested the Al Ahly board for his assistants Rulani Mokwena (Assistant coach), Kabelo Rangoaga (Physical Trainer) and Musi Matlaba (Performance Analyst).
The move for Onyango’s exit is also backed up by the fact that he recently confessed that he has received several offers from the Northern Clubs before adding that he is happy to stay at Sundowns.
However, following his coach’s departure, the 2016 CAF African based Player of the year may be tempted to move.
Onyango recently put in a decent shift for Sundowns, despite being injured, when his side met Al Ahly in February this year.

He is still contracted at Sundowns but the 2019/20 PSL champions may not be rigid to let him move given the fact that they have already acquired goalkeeper Ricardo Goss, with the 26-year old joining from Bidvest Wits.
Onyango left SC villa to join St George in 2005 and has since played for SuperSport United, Mpumalanga Black Aces before signing for Sundowns in 2011. He had a loan spell with Bidvests.
