Uganda Premier League secretariat has confirmed shifted offices temporarily to Lungujja.
The Secretariat says that they have left Namboole after the Government ceased the area to use it as an institutional quarantine centre.
UPL offices were located at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole Ground Floor, Section 8, Suite 8-1-07.
UPL has confirmed the development, via a document:
“Dear our esteemed clients, the government of Uganda has designated Mandela National Stadium as a COVID-19 Institutional Quarantine Centre.
“As a result, the Uganda Premier League Secretariat has temporarily moved its operations to Lungujja at the FUFA Special Interest Groups offices until such a time when we will return to the old address at Mandela National Stadium.”
Gordon Roy Mundeyi, head of communications at UPL, has told this website that their works have not been greatly affected as earlier anticipated.
Mundeyi said: “No, it has not disrupted work at all. It was just a necessary move considering the circumstances.”
The 2020/21 Uganda Premier League is expected to kickoff on October 17, 2020.
