I want To Fight For My Place At Vipers – Rashid Toha

Vipers towering center back Rashid Toha has expressed his desire to fight for his place at the club next season.

Since joining Vipers in August last year, the former Onduparaka FC captain has only featured against Mbarara City courtesy of injuries.

“My ambitions have not died. For starters, I want to fight for my place in Vipers Starting XI. And now that we will be playing on the continent, I want to be in the thick of things as we push for our dream in the Caf Champions League. It is going to be a dream-come-true season for us,” Toha told the club website.

Toha says that his recovery has been “so far so good” and he is confident that he will get even in better shape before next season starts.

Following the surgery in February, Toha says that he was scared and thought that he will be out for many months.

“Tests and scans were done to determine the extent of my injury. However the doctor said I had to undergo minor surgery to repair my nagging knee injury and I duly accepted.

“Thank God!!! The surgery was minor. Imagine it happened in February and four months down the road I am feeling much better and stronger.”

The defender recently revealed to this website that he will be playing for South Sudan over Uganda Cranes.
