Pyramids FC: Lumala Abdul Sidelined After Successful Knee Surgery

Uganda Cranes winger Lumala Abdul is expected to be out for about six months after undergoing another knee surgery.

The player was operated on Tuesday in Belgium, his second operation on the knee after the one he had in December last year.

“I will be out for sometime, am coming back stronger than before,” Lumala said before thanking Pyramids FC club president and Doctor Declercq.

Earlier, reports had linked the player to deals elsewhere after photos of him outside Egypt leaked on social media.

The player had also commented on some other platforms about his need to secure a deal back to Europe.

Lumala, who joined Pyramids FC last year, has made five appearances for the Egyptian side.

The winger was part of the Uganda Cranes squad that reached the knockout stages of the 2019 AFCON knockout in Egypt.
