The FIFA Under 17 Women World Cup will be held from 17th February to March 20th 2021 in India, it is official.

The world governing body, FIFA, announced the new dates on Tuesday.

The tourney was supposed to take place in November 2020 but was postponed because of Covid19.

“Following a thorough assessment of the impact of Covid19 pandemic and subsequent recommendation made by FIFA Covid working group, the bureau of FIFA council has taken the following new tournament dates: Under 17 FIFA women world cup in India from 17 the February to 7 March 2021.”

The body has decided to maintain the original eligibility criteria with players born on or after 1 January 2003 and on or before December 2005 eligible.

The tournment will take place in Kolkata, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Nnavi Mumbai and Bhubaneswar.

There will be 16 participating teams across the world.

Uganda will play Cameroon in their last qualifying round.
